Privacy Policy

ScaleLens is provided by Nurl.lib. This notice explains how we handle information when you use photo-based estimates and identification features. Contact us at scalelens@jzku.eu.org.

Information we process

• Photos and notes: photos you choose to submit and any accompanying description are processed to estimate weight or calories, or identify plants, breeds, antiques and gems. We do not require access to your entire photo library.
• Device account: our service uses a hash of Android ID to recognize your device, manage scan credits and enforce restrictions. Android ID is distinct from Google's advertising ID. This is a device-based account rather than an email account.
• Service records: recognition results, request times, mode, model usage and errors help us operate and troubleshoot the service. Basic connection information, including IP addresses, may be processed to deliver requests and limit abuse.
• Rewards: when rewarded ads are available, we process transaction identifiers and your device account ID to verify rewards and avoid duplicate credits.

How information is used and shared

We use information to provide requested recognition, manage credits, secure the service, answer support requests and improve reliability. Submitted photos and notes may be sent to the AI provider configured for the service. Do not submit private documents, sensitive personal information, or photos you are not entitled to share. We do not sell your submitted photos or device account data.

Optional advertising

When Google AdMob is enabled, Google and its partners may process advertising identifiers, IP addresses, ad interactions and diagnostics to serve ads, prevent fraud and measure performance. We request consent where required and honor applicable advertising choices. Rewarded ads are optional. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and Google's advertising information. Retention

Submitted photos are used temporarily. Stored uploads expire after approximately ten minutes and are removed by a recurring cleanup process. Recognition results and diagnostic audits have a default retention of seven days and are then permanently deleted by automatic cleanup. We will update this notice if our standard retention changes. Reward deduplication records are retained for approximately 26 hours. Device account and credit records remain until the account is deleted or no longer needed for the service. AI and advertising providers may have their own retention policies. Deletion from active systems does not itself erase copies in independently managed backups.

Your choices and requests

You decide which photos to submit. You can revoke camera and photo permissions through your operating system, change advertising consent where available, or stop using the service. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion, subject to applicable law. Include your device account ID if available so we can locate your records; do not email unnecessary sensitive information. Removing the app does not automatically delete server records. A device identifier may change after device or app-signing changes, which may affect recovery of the same device account.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable access controls and secure transport for production services. No system is completely secure. Service providers may process information outside your country; protections depend on the relevant provider and applicable law.

Children

ScaleLens is not directed to children under 13 or below the minimum age required in their location. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
